Small Groups are an essential part of this congregation. Here at Mt. Nebo UMC, a small group is the place where individuals are welcomed and supported as they study together, pray for one another, and hold one another accountable in living a life that reflects their love for Jesus.
When God Doesn't Fix It
When: Mondays, February 7, 21- March 7, 14, 28- April 4
Time: Begins at 6:30 PM
Group Leader: Brenda Reed
Where: Meets in the classroom area
What: The book and DVD study by Laura Story will help us understand that, while God may not 'fix everything' in our lives, He can lead us to a place of where we are better because of it. We will find ways of Truth to walk in God's plan for our lives instead of our own. Laura uses scripture accounts of how God has led people through personal crisis.
Women's Early Morning Group
When: Tuesday
Time: 7:00 AM
Where: This group meets on a virtual format
Group Leader: Kristine Brookover
What: This group is using the study, Set Apart, by Jessica LaGrone. This study examines the holy habits of the prophets and kings who walked closely with God. Prophets and kings struggled yet still grew in their faith through spiritual practices. Group discusses how this applies to their daily lives.
Prayer Group
When: Tuesday
Time: 10:00 AM- 11:30 AM
Where: Chapel in the Woods (weather permitting)- During inclement or cold weather, group may meet in the classroom area of the church building.

What: This small group meets for a time of devotion and praise, then prays for the needs within our church, community, country, and world. Consider being part of this vital ministry small group that meets weekly.
Midmorning Women's Small Group Study
When: Wednesdays- Starts February 23
Time: 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM
Where: Classrooms 2 and 3
Group Leader: Linda Henry
What: This women's small group will be using a study by Jen Cowart. The study digs into the lives of Biblical heroes who were ordinary people who were used by God in powerful ways. This video-based study will help us understand how God can use broken people, restore damaged hearts, and help us deal with the hard moments of life.
Heart to Heart
When: Wednesdays beginning January 12
Time: Begins at 6:30 PM
Where: Church Narthex
Group Leader: Elise Starkey
What: This group will be reading and using a study guide for Sensible Shoes by Sharon Garlough Brown. Although this book is a fictional story, the author digs deep into scriptural truths for our lives today.
Shoulder to Shoulder Men's Small Group
When: Choose to meet either Wednesday or Thursday (same lesson- choose the evening that works better for your schedule)
Time: 6:30 PM- 7:30 PM
Where: Admin Building or will meet virtually when the need arises

What: Shoulder to Shoulder is presently reading and using a study guide for the Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis. Shoulder to Shoulder studies together, prays for one another, and shares concerns and praises with one another.
Habits: Six Healthy Habits to Live By
When: Thursdays- March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and April 7
Time: 7:00 PM
Where: Classroom area

What: God's Word has some things to say about healthy practices to live by. You'll learn about God's principles, the power the Holy Spirit provides, and the benefits of living in community with other believers. Each session of this study includes a DVD teaching. Please bring your Bible. Workbook cost- $10. Register for this class at the Sign-Up Table beginning in February.
Men' s Breakfast for the Soul
When: Meets the second Saturday of each month
Time: 7:30 AM- 9:00 AM
Where: Classroom area and worship center

What: This breakfast is a time for men of all ages to share breakfast, followed by a speaker and a time of fellowship. The speakers in 2022 will focus on man's relationship with God.
Hand to Hand Women's Emmaus Share Group
When: Saturday
Time: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Where: Ministry Annex

What: The share group meets, shares a continental breakfast, and spends time sharing joys, concerns and prayer.
