LISTEN:PRAYING IN A NOISY WORLD SMALL GROUP STUDY

9:00-10:00AM    Classroom 3

We live in a world of noise. Everywhere we go, we hear sounds that compete for our minds and hearts. Listening to God requires a deliberate choice to shut out the chaos around us and focus our thoughts. Listen, by Rueben P. Job, is a 40-day experience created to offer help to those new to prayer, those with a daily prayer routine, and those whose lives seem too busy to pray. With a focus on listening prayer and prayer as a two-way conversation, the experience will assist individuals and groups in building and deepening a personal prayer practice and spiritual discernment.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY

7:00PM-8:30PM

Perspectives & Purpose on people who practice the PARABLESThroughout all four gospels, Jesus told people short stories to so many who would come to hear something new, better and different from anyone who they had taken the time to hear before. We’ll see what it meant to those very first listening ears, what it meant to those believers in the earliest churches and most definitely determine what these short stories of simple wisdom from Jesus mean to us right now in this place we have named Mt. Nebo in our days. All you need to be a part of this short journey is “faith the size of a mustard seed.” Meets in classroom 3.
